Behind the painting
Girlhood looks at the obscurity of the word with the feelings and emotions of coming out of that time in your life. The anger and pain blurred with camaraderie and shared interests that you experience with other women. Blurred lines, misty vision of the future, and deep rooted romanticism for life, platonic, familial, and romantic relationships. All embedded in a guttural anger and resentment created by only existing as a woman.
